          Edinboro University announces speakers for annual High School Journalism Day

          Two prominent music journalists will serve as keynote speakers April 5 at Edinboro University’s 12th annual High School Journalism Day.

          Jason Pettigrew, editor-in-chief of the Cleveland-based Alternative Press, will speak at noon as part of the awards luncheon. D.X. Ferris, author of a new book about Pittsburgh rock icon Donnie Iris, will open the event with a talk at 9 a.m.

          Pettigrew started as a freelance journalist with Alternative Press, which is largely regarded as the nation’s leading voice on underground, alternative, punk music and youth culture, both in print and online.
