Welcome to Porecco College – the Community’s College. Your future begins here.
Porreco College’s academic programs prepare students for immediate employment or to continue their education in a baccalaureate degree program at Edinboro University’s main campus at a fraction of the cost of many other colleges and universities.
At Porreco, we are committed to providing individual attention to student success. Getting started at Porreco College is easy.
All associate degree programs are designed for you to complete 15 credits each semester in order to finish in two years. After earning an associate degree from Porecco College, you will be prepared for a variety of in-demand careers in industries ranging from aviation and education to electrical utilities and more. Associate degree students also may choose to further their education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
Certificate programs combine classroom learning and hands-on training to prepare students for immediate employment in industries such as health care. The duration and schedule for these programs varies depending on the requirements necessary to fulfill the particular certification being pursued.
Porreco College makes every effort to accommodate the schedules of its diverse student population by offering many courses (and indeed full certificate programs) during the evening and online. Other programs require daytime classes and/or internship or clinical externship experience.
Edinboro University is already the best regional value because of its low cost and high-quality education, but Porreco College students benefit from an additional discounted fee structure and potential access to the Porreco Promise grant.
Because of the Porreco Promise, an endowment funded through private donations, the cost for Erie County residents to attend Porreco College while seeking a degree is comparable to the cost of attending a community college. With the support of the Porreco Promise scholarship alongside state and federal aid to students, many students are able to attend college at little or no cost and with no debt after graduation.
To be eligible for financial aid from Porreco College, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Learn more.
